We sell a managed service, so we are not neutral. Every price and feature below is taken from each vendor's own pricing page, which we read on 23 October 2026. We have not used these products, and prices change.

What each plan gives you for the money
Plans count different things, so list prices are hard to compare. One way to compare is the cost of 1,000 AI answers. An AI answer is one tracked prompt on one engine on one day. Peec AI publishes this idea itself (50 prompts on three models, daily, is 4,500 answers a month on Starter). For the others we did the same arithmetic, assuming every prompt runs daily on every engine the plan includes. These figures are our calculation, not the vendors' numbers.
| Plan | Monthly price | AI answers a month | Cost per 1,000 answers |
|---|---|---|---|
| OtterlyAI Premium | $489 | 48,000 | about $10 |
| Peec AI Advanced | $495 | 31,500 | about $16 |
| OtterlyAI Standard | $189 | 12,000 | about $16 |
| OtterlyAI Lite | $29 | 1,800 | about $16 |
| Peec AI Pro | $245 | 13,500 | about $18 |
| Peec AI Starter | $95 | 4,500 | about $21 |
| Semrush AI Visibility Base | $99 | 3,000 | about $33 |
Ahrefs states its pricing in checks (one prompt on one platform in one location is one check). Its prompt packages work out at about $20, $14 and $10 per 1,000 checks. Profound and the enterprise plans have no public prices, so they are left out.
This is not the whole picture. A cheaper answer is not a better one if the engines you need are missing, or if your team never acts on what the dashboard shows.
How to choose
- Count your prompts and engines. Write down the questions your buyers ask and the engines that matter in your market. The plan that covers them is the right size.
- Check which engines are included. Some plans include four engines, others let you pick three, and the rest cost extra.
- Ask who will act on the data. A tool shows you the gaps. Someone still has to fix the pages, the profiles and the sources.
When a self-service tool is the better choice
- You have an SEO or content person with time to act on what a dashboard shows.
- You need many prompts, markets or brands tracked daily at a fixed cost.
- Your budget is for software, not for services.
When a managed service is the better choice
- You do not have the people to turn the data into pages, fixes and outreach.
- You want one team accountable for the work and for the report.
- You want an independent baseline before you decide what to buy. You can keep a tool alongside it.
